Sourceful Packaging Insight Contest — Official Rules

Sponsor. Sourceful Ltd (company number 11260656), Colony, 5 Piccadilly Place, Manchester, England, M1 3BR, United Kingdom (“Sponsor”).

Eligibility. Open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom, Australia, EU, United States, and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years or older at time of entry, with a LinkedIn account in good standing. Void where prohibited. Employees, officers, directors, and contractors of Sponsor and its affiliates, and their immediate family/household members, are not eligible.

Contest Period. Begins 14 August 2025 at 09:00 UK time (BST) and ends 23 August 2025 at 23:59 UK time (BST) (“Contest Period”). Sponsor’s server/timekeeping is official.

How to Enter (LinkedIn Comment Entry). During the Contest Period, on the Sponsor’s official LinkedIn post announcing the contest (the “Contest Post”)

comment with:

  1. One (1) image of packaging (either a photo you personally took or an image you generated using Sourceful), and
  2. A written explanation (50–150 words) answering: Why is this packaging great? (consider function, sustainability, brand fit, consumer psychology, etc.)
  3. Include the hashtags #SourcefulContest and #contest. If your image was generated with Sourceful, also include #MadeWithSourceful.
  • Follow Requirement: Follow @Sourceful on LinkedIn to enter. US carve‑out: In CO, MD, NE, ND, and VT, following is encouraged but not required (entry is the eligible comment); following does not affect judging anywhere.
  • Format: One image per entry (JPEG/PNG/WEBP). If LinkedIn blocks image uploads in comments on your device, reply with text and add a direct image reply to your own comment; keep all parts threaded together.
  • Limits: One (1) entry per person (one LinkedIn account; first valid comment counts). Edits are allowed until close; the most recent pre‑deadline edit is what will be judged. Do not delete and re‑post to game timestamps.
  • Contactability: Ensure your LinkedIn settings allow Page DMs or reply notifications; Sponsor will contact winners via LinkedIn DM and/or by replying to the winning comment, and may request email to complete verification.

Entry Requirements & Content Restrictions.

  • Ownership: For photos, you must have taken the photo yourself (no stock/third‑party photos). For Sourceful‑generated images, you must have created the image using your Sourceful account and have the right to submit it under these Rules.
  • Trademarks/brands: Real‑world packaging photos may show third‑party brand marks incidentally for commentary/critique. Do not imply any brand endorsement. For generated images, use fictional or your own branding; avoid using actual third‑party logos/trade dress.
  • People & private info: No faces/people, personal data, or confidential material.
  • No AI other than Sourceful: AI imagery is permitted only if created using Sourceful (no other AI tools).
  • Lawful & respectful: No obscene, hateful, infringing, or illegal content. Sponsor may disqualify non‑compliant entries in its reasonable discretion.

Judging & Winner Selection. This is a contest of skill. Eligible entries will be scored by a panel of three (3) judges, including at least one independent judge, using the rubric below; highest total score wins.

Rubric (100 pts):

  • Insight & rationale (40) — functional/sustainability/consumer insight, not just aesthetics.
  • Originality of pick/angle (25).
  • Image clarity/composition (20).
  • Writing quality (15).

Tie‑breakers: Higher “Insight” score → then “Originality” → then earliest valid entry. Sponsor will keep scoring records and can provide the name of the independent judge upon request.

Prizes (ARV).

  • Grand Prize (1): US$1,000 (paid by bank transfer to a US, UK, or Canadian bank account).
  • Runner‑Up (2): US$500 each (same payment terms).
  • Merit (10): One Sourceful Product Photoshoot (ARV US$50 each).

Participation Gift (not a prize): 10 Sourceful credits to each valid entrant who complies with these Rules (ARV US$0.80 total; US$0.08/credit). Credits are non‑cash, non‑transferable, subject to Sourceful account terms.

Winner Notification/Verification. Potential winners will be notified by 31 August 2025 via LinkedIn DM and/or a reply to their comment and must respond within 7 days with required information (identity, eligibility, and for cash prizes any tax/banking details). Sponsor may require a declaration of eligibility/liability & publicity release. If a potential winner fails to respond or is ineligible, an alternate may be selected.

Taxes & Payments. Winners are responsible for all taxes. US winners of cash prizes ≥ US$600 must provide a Form W‑9; Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099‑MISC. Bank transfers will only be made to US, UK, or Canadian bank accounts in the winner’s name.

License & Moral Rights. By entering, you grant Sponsor a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display your entry (image + text) for administration, judging, winner announcements, and reasonable promotional purposes, with credit where practicable. You warrant you own the entry and have all rights necessary. To the extent permitted by law, you agree not to enforce any moral rights against Sponsor for permitted uses.

Publicity / Winners List. Where lawful, winners agree Sponsor may use their name, city/country, and entry for winner announcements and publicity without further compensation. UK: Sponsor may publish or make available the surname and county of major prize winners; winners can object or request reduced disclosure, but details may still be provided to the ASA upon request.

General Conditions. Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if fraud/technical failures or events beyond its control impair integrity or feasibility. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, or incomplete entries or communications. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. Disqualification may occur for rule violations, tampering, or unsportsmanlike conduct. No purchase necessary.

Governing Law & Disputes. Governed by the laws of England & Wales, with non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England; mandatory consumer rights under local law remain unaffected.

Privacy. Personal data is processed solely to administer this Contest and gifts/prizes in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Notice. Data may be processed outside your country subject to appropriate safeguards.

Platform Disclaimer. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with LinkedIn. You understand you are providing information to Sponsor, not to LinkedIn.
