Understand your entire supply chain
Recycled LDPERecycled LDPE is low-density polyethylene made from recycled feedstock, making it a more sustainable alternative to virgin LDPE. Due to the contents of recycled plastic, these mailer bags will have some small white flecks on their surface.
Virgin LDPEVirgin LDPE is low-density polyethylene (LDPE) made from virgin raw materials like crude oil. Virgin LDPE has a higher carbon footprint than recycled LDPE.
MasterbatchMasterbatches are mixtures of additives or pigments that are used to colour PCR plastic film. Sourceful mailer bags use white masterbatch (outer layer) and black masterbatch (inner layer). Masterbatch is often made with virgin materials.
Single peel & sealOne strip of adhesive covered with PET backing paper. A single peel & seal makes fulfilment fast and helps make your packaging tamper-proof. Adding a peel & seal has minimal impact on your carbon footprint.
Double peel & sealTwo strips of adhesive covered with PET backing paper. A double peel & seal makes fulfilment fast and returns easy for your customers. Adding a peel & seal has minimal impact on your carbon footprint.
Solvent-based inksSolvent-based inks use solvents such as propyl acetate as their primary base. Commonly used for gravure printing because they dry quickly and allow for high-speed printing. Solvent-based inks offer a high-quality print finish but do have a higher carbon footprint than water or vegetable-based inks.
Supply chain assurance
A resilient, responsible supply chain
Due to the contents of recycled plastic, our mailer bags will have white dots across the surface and a slightly textured finish. The white dots will be most prominent on mailer bags with a dark flood print.
As the 95% recycled mailer bag has a high percentage of recycled content, it will have more white dots and a more textured finish than the 30% recycled mailer bag. Please keep this in mind when choosing your recycled mailer bag.
Our recycled low-density polyethylene (LDPE) supply chain is certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). The Global Recycled Standard verifies the percentage of recycled content in a material and tracks it from the source to the final product.
Not as a standard option, unfortunately. If you have a large order size, we may be able to manufacture other colours. If you have a small order size, however, but still want a colour other than white, we recommend using a flood colour to print over the entire surface of the bag.
Yes. This reduces the risk of tampering during transit.
After use, recycle at a local collection point. You can find these at most local supermarkets.
Gravure printing with solvent-based inks. Gravure printing is known for printing high-quality, detailed designs and images on flexible materials.
Typically, recycled mailer bags sent by courier (air and land freight) are delivered in 5-7 weeks. Recycled mailer bags sent by sea freight are typically delivered in 10-16 weeks.
